Wood Pellets are commonly available via distribution points around Scotland and the rest of the UK. Supply of pellets is currently in bag form (usually 10kg to 15kg each) and stacked onto a pallet in quantities of approximately 1 ton. In the future, bulk blown deliveries will become available, providing a better fuel price per ton and convenience. This requires a purpose built fuel store (minimum 4 ton) which can be supplied by Green Flame Technology. A guide to the cost of running pellets compared to oil is as follows:

Pellet cost @ £130 per ton is equivalent to 26p per litre of heating oil.
Pellet cost @ £200 per ton is equivalent to 40p per litre of heating oil.
