Granting Information

Please note that granting information can change with very short notice. It is important to check with the relevant Energy saving Trust to determine the current information and status.

In order for a customer to receive a grant it is essential to use only MCS (microgeneration certification scheme) registered products and installers. Currently, many products are going through a “transition list” to the MCS status and are therefore eligible also. Greenflame Technology and the Scotte bio-comfort system are both eligible for the granting scheme.

Scotland

Energy Saving Trust www.energysavingtrust.org.uk/scotland Offers every homeowner a 30% rebate for the cost of the Scotte bio-comfort boiler system, related products (flue, pipe work, hot water cylinder, pumps, bulk fuel hopper etc) and Greenflame installation labour costs – up to a maximum rebate of £4,000.

Note: Granting for biomass products has recently been removed from all new build properties. Only renovation of existing buildings with a heating system will qualify – the period of availability is unknown.

Currently, there is also the offer of an interest free loan scheme to pay for the remaining balance of the purchase / installation cost which were not covered by the rebate. This interest free loan is available by contacting the Energy Saving Trust.
